About The Position

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Engineering Team. In this position, you will gain exposure to electrical design, testing, troubleshooting, and new product development activities. You will collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and Field Service as you support projects that improve current products and contribute to the development of new technologies. This internship is ideal for a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field, who is eager to apply classroom concepts to real-world engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of electrical circuits, components, and design principles.
  • Hands-on experience using basic electrical test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and producing high-quality results on a consistent basis.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a similar discipline.
  • High school interns will be considered based on relevant skills and interests.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD/ECAD tools such as Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad, or similar software (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and validation of electrical systems, circuits, and components for new and existing products.
  • Support engineering testing activities, including test setup, data collection, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to investigate product issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use laboratory tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and in-circuit testers during development and testing activities.
  • Participate in prototype builds, product evaluations, and design reviews.
  • Assist with engineering documentation, test reports, and project-related administrative tasks.
  • Partner with Engineering Team Members to support and complete various responsibilities, projects, and/or tasks as necessary.
