About The Position

The Electrical Engineer Intern position at ABB for Summer 2025 offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electrical engineering through various projects. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering within the United States.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical resources and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Supporting overall system design and testing activities.
• Developing detailed engineering documentation including Single Line Diagrams, Power System Studies, Network Diagrams, Protective Device Settings, and Substation Layouts.
• Using computer programs to perform various engineering operations.
• Conducting analyses and providing related data and information.
• Troubleshooting and researching solutions during project work.
• Attending training sessions both in person and on the job.
