About The Position

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Strong interest in electrical/electronic design and development.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with MS Office products.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of mixed signal Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and development.
• Understanding of schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience with programming languages such as C or C++ or LabVIEW is a plus.
• Familiarity with design analysis and establishing circuit-level tests.
• Basic knowledge of FPGA development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic design concepts under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Work from specification requirements, design concepts, and inputs from customers and other engineers.
• Support the implementation of design concepts into working prototypes and finished products.
• Support other engineers in design of mixed signal Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
• Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
• Assist in the development of test methods and associated test equipment for vetting CCAs.
• Review Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layouts and provide support to facilitate board fabrication and assembly.
• Communicate with team members to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
• Assist in preparing and presenting internal trade studies and design reviews to demonstrate that designs meet specifications and requirements.
• Gain familiarity with CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, LTSpice, Matlab, MathCAD or other CAD tools as needed.
