For college students interested in engineering design for the built environment, CMTA offers a robust co-op program for those pursuing degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, and Architectural Engineering. This program provides an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the consulting engineering world for one or more semesters, building industry-competitive skills in a hands-on environment. Co-ops work on a team, receive training from Professional Engineers in AutoCAD and Revit, and create real construction drawings for CMTA projects. This is a full-time (40 hrs./week), onsite position with a competitive hourly pay rate and eligibility for overtime. The position is expected to start around August 2026 and continue through Fall 2026, with flexible dates to accommodate school calendars. CMTA hopes that co-op students will complete multiple rotations, with potential consideration for full-time employment upon graduation. This role offers unique hands-on training in electrical design, teaching how to design and implement electrical systems/infrastructure and energy-efficient measures in building projects. It's an opportunity to work on challenging and complex MEP projects as an important part of the design team.
