Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of work experience with complex building electrical systems in the commercial, industrial and power / process sector.
  • PE licensure in the State of Florida is required, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for team-based projects.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills required for simultaneous project schedules.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Required Code and Standard Knowledge: NEC, NESC, IES, NFPA 70E, IEEE Color Book Series
  • Required Software Capabilities: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP or similar modeling software, Agi-32 or Similar Lighting Software

Responsibilities

  • Experience in the design of electrical and controls systems for commercial facilities, chiller plants, and water/wastewater pumping systems
  • Experience in designs for commercial and industrial.
  • Low & medium voltage distribution systems
  • Emergency Generator Systems for backup and life safety
  • Automated Control Systems
  • SCADA communication systems
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and directing/managing the work completed by others, including subconsultant team members, and mentoring young engineers and designers.
