The Electrical Engineer will be part of a multi-discipline product development team, working closely with experienced engineers in designing, developing, debugging, and documenting new electrical hardware designs, focusing on analog and power electronics.   • Contributes to the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems.
  • Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs.
  • Proficient with circuit simulation.
  • Works directly with more senior engineers to develop new designs and solutions.
  • Documents circuit designs using schematic capture software.
  • Performs and documents stress tests, performance tests, and functionality tests.
  • Creates engineering documentation to support manufacturing and service processes.
  • Participates in design reviews and brainstorming sessions.
  • Works with Mechanical and Software engineers to help define design platform.
  • Experience with design and development of analog and power electronics.
  • Proven ability to take a basic design concept from requirements level and develop a complete hardware design and verify via test and integration.
  • Experience with PCB design cycle (schematic capture, layout, fabrication, and test).
  • Strong knowledge of series and parallel resonant circuits.
  • Able to calculate current, voltage, and power in resistive, inductive, and capacitive circuits, as well as power dissipation in resistors and semiconductors.
  • Experienced with thermal analysis of power electronics.
  • Knowledge of transistors in switching and linear modes.
  • Experienced in the design of Switch Mode Power Supplies, rectifiers, and transformers.
  • Knowledge of LC Filter design.
  • Basic understanding of digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with basic embedded programming a plus.
  • Basic experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi Meter, Spectrum Analyzer).
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on a cross-functional team.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience a plus.
