Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related engineering disciplines
  • Experience in SCADA system design, preferably in the renewable energy industry
  • Experience with industrial communication protocol, such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, DNP3.0, Ethernet/IP, SEL Fast Messaging, IEC 61850, Telnet
  • Experience with networking devices and communication configuration
  • Experience with ASPEN
  • Experience with relay settings
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to efficiently communicate and report at all levels
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with configuring and testing Beckwith, Calisto and other MPT monitoring devices.
  • Experience with RTAC and Orion RTU testing and programming
  • Candidates with previous internship experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop relay settings and protection philosophy
  • Review panel design, wiring, and testing
  • Review protection and control design drawings
  • Review network and communication design drawings
  • Troubleshoot and field test substation SCADA panels
  • Design SCADA communication related drawings
  • Requires travel, including potential international travel to job sites
