About The Position

The Electrical Engineer I will work in close contact and effectively interact with the entire design team as well as external clients and consultants. Individuals in this position must demonstrate the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team. Scope: Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues Works on problems of limited scope Receives detailed instructions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 0 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Builds stable working relationships internally.
  • Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data.
  • Basic understanding of applicable codes.
  • Understanding of design and calculation software.
  • Ability to learn how to lay out portions of the electrical systems for projects.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment with purchasing, quality assurance, manufacturing and engineering personnel.
  • Communicate effectively in English, in both oral and written forms.
  • Must be knowledgeable in electrical and electronic engineering principles.

  • Experience with modeling and reliability testing.
  • Experience with failure mode & effects analysis.
  • Experience with electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Establish system design of lighting, power, systems and technology.
  • Coordinate design with a project manager, senior team members and outside design consultants.
  • Participate in QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
  • Assist in the determination of project scheduling requirements and project budgets.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports.
  • Assist in processing RFI’s, change orders, bulletins, and addenda.
  • Research equipment selections, and complete equipment schedules.
  • Document existing conditions.
  • Other duties as required.
