About The Position

The Electrical Engineer II - Engineering & Automation will contribute technical expertise across a wide variety of projects, guiding them from concept through installation. This role includes designing and developing custom electromechanical equipment, control panels, robotics, and vision systems, while also directing and supervising other engineering personnel as assigned. The ideal candidate will have an advanced understanding of electrical principles and a strong aptitude for both hands-on work in the shop or field and computer-based design in the office. Collaborating closely with engineers and project managers, this role involves work in the office, shop, and occasionally at customer sites, with a flexible schedule to accommodate travel and overtime as needed. Overnight travel is typically infrequent, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across diverse and innovative projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' relevant work experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical required, Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
  • Passing FE (Fundamental Engineering Exam) or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be willing to attend training and remain updated regarding industry standards
  • Willing to obtain and hold certifications as needed, such as UL MTR, to support the UL 508A Panel Shop Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, define, and edit scope of work

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform Electrical schematics and panel layouts, component specification, assembly, and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products as assigned
  • Recognize and pursue additional business opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Evaluate internal processes and procedures while seeking continuous improvement
  • Assign, oversee, review, and provide feedback to other Engineers on work assignments
  • Verify that end products meet the project scope, budget, quality standards, and needs of customers
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high quality of product
  • Provide technical oversight to the Panel Shop as required to satisfy UL 508A requirements
