Job Summary Applies standard engineering techniques (Good Design Practices) and procedures to the design, development, and enhancement of new and currently marketed medical devices, including external defibrillators, external pacemakers, and monitors. Designs, tests, and documents new circuitry as well as modifies existing circuitry in systems and subsystems, including those related to analog, digital, power supply, isolation, and high voltage functionality. Works closely with other electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to design, develop, and support complete systems and subsystems. Works with outside vendors and contractors as required to accomplish tasks. Support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance groups as required to debug or improve existing designs.
