About the position
The Electrical Engineer II - Simulation & Training position at Collins Aerospace involves developing, modifying, integrating, and testing training simulators for military and commercial use. The role requires a skilled electrical engineering professional to manage electrical analysis, schematic design, and prototype integration, contributing to the success of complex missions across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document electrical hardware of moderate complexity.
- Capture, analyze, and create hardware engineering requirements for medium complexity components.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure appropriate electrical design.
- Participate in cross-functional team efforts for integration and testing of designs and sub-systems.
- Utilize appropriate processes and tools during hardware development.
- Report on technical performance, cost, and schedule for assigned work.
- Support customer reviews and meetings.
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
- Experience with electrical analysis & characterization, AC & DC power budgets, and part specification.
- Experience with technical documentation such as schematics, cable drawings, parts lists, and wire lists.
- Proficient with AutoCAD or other CAD tools for electrical schematic capture and design documentation.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications / Office 365.
