We are looking for an Electrical Engineer II - III in our San Diego, CA offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution.
  • Minimum of 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in the MEP field working with projects such as Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical.
  • Strong REVIT and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of construction documentation and design phase requirements.
  • Knowledge of trade specific design and calculation software including energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.).
  • Latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT required.
  • Basic understanding of proper system selection.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable codes.
  • FE certification required.

  • Experience in Mission Critical, Science + Technology, Healthcare.
  • Interest in Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Creating basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designers.
  • Performing equipment selections, and load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes.
  • Conducting field inspections to determine existing conditions and to coordinate new work.
  • Assisting Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis and other technical reports and drawings.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines and working in close contact with the entire design team.
  • Representing Syska Hennessy Group and effectively interacting with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultants.
  • Mastering drawing organization format and company standards.
  • Assisting senior engineer and/or senior designer in determining project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets.
  • Processing RFI's, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
  • Establishing system application, design, and operational parameters/sequences under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
  • Developing specifications, system narratives and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes.
  • Participating in/Ensuring/Overseeing QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
  • Performing construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects.
