Requirements

  • Intermediate experience using computer-assisted design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
  • Possess strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree may supplement experience requirements.
  • Experience with Lean problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, A3, 8D, DMAIC, etc.) preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • ASQ Green Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical components of existing elevator systems, including safety and lifting systems.
  • Read sales documents and specifications to understand system requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform assignments.
  • Generate and update designs based on established drawings and layouts.
  • Assess, plan, and produce documentation for hydraulic and/or traction elevators.
  • Develop creative solutions to product application issues of moderate complexity.
  • Modify and develop standard parts and assemblies to interface with existing equipment.
  • Achieve proficiency in multiple product lines.
  • Comprehend and apply basic A17.1 Code.
  • Work under moderate supervision for coaching and skill development.
  • Train level one engineers as needed.
  • Effectively communicate and share information, solutions, and ideas.
  • Participate and lead in SSQDC and ODM meetings.
  • Identify problems and implement solutions using problem-solving tools.
