Raytheon's Airborne Multi-Mission Electronics Department, part of Integrated Electrical Solution mission area, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II - Firmware to design and develop power conversion technologies for the airborne military applications.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience.
  • Experience with basic lab equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.).
  • Experience using engineering tools (i.e. Vivado, Quartus, etc.) for design (i.e. VHDL, Verilog, etc.).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital Signal Processing.
  • Intel/Altera and/or AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Designing in Matlab/Simulink with DSP Builder and HDL Coder blocksets.
  • Digital hardware design and firmware integration.
  • RF Signal Processing.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support work in the Hardware/Firmware Engineering Department at the Electronic Warfare Systems.
  • Work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by customers.
  • Partner with integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications.
  • Complete specific tasks including circuit analysis, circuit simulation, FPGA programming, design documentation, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards.
