About The Position

This position will support the established CCOP and SSEE Hardware Solutions Team in the form of providing engineering services which contribute directly to the establishment of new systems and the sustainment of existing systems for NIWC LANT customers. The Cryptologic Carry-on Program (CCOP), a full lifecycle systems provider, demonstrates Naval Information Warfare's (NIWC's) ability to respond rapidly to emerging threats. CCOP's family of systems are scalable to platform, re-configurable to mission, modular (plug and play), and dynamically re-programmable to support new threats. The Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Program is the Navy's Flagship Signal's Intelligence (SIGINT) system; installed on U.S. Navy ships, and Coast Guard platforms. NIWC Atlantic is the In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) responsible for lifecycle support, from development through transition. Candidate must possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team to apply electrical and electronic theories to develop, refurbish, and verify solutions for existing SSEE and CCOP systems. In addition to developing, documenting, and recommending solutions or improvements for technical engineering problems, responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to: Assisting in engineering analysis and developing hardware solution Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs), Build Order Materials (BOMs), Engineering Changes (ECs), Technical Data Packages (TDPs), and supporting documentation for new capabilities Designing system level drawings/interconnects to support TDPs and ECs Coordinating with government customers in the development of Engineering Change Recommendations (ECRs) Contributing towards developing AOAs (Analysis of Alternatives) which ultimately lead to hardware solutions to support system sustainment Identifying form-fit-function (FFF) replacements and engineering solutions for obsolete and non-procurable components Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical requirements on new systems development, including power, control, RF, and timing Work closely with CAD designers and drafters on the team to document and record design changes Performing a variety of analyses of technical engineering data Interpreting the data, verifying product documentation, designs, layouts, or drawings for adequacy and reliability #LI-AM1
