Requirements
- Management Requirements: 0-3 staff
- Education Requirements: BSEE from an Abet Accredited Engineering Program
- Licensure Requirements: Licensed Professional Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead small client teams (1–2 staff), small projects, or portions of large projects using expertise in lighting and power design.
- Apply knowledge of NEC and other national standards to solve medium to difficult design challenges.
- Work independently on multiple project types with minimal supervision.
- Understand energy codes and apply them to power and lighting design.
- Perform photometric calculations, lighting design, and fault current analysis.
- Select lighting systems and controls for simple projects.
- Proficient in REVIT.
- Train employees on company standards, drafting techniques, and technical questions related to electrical design.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop construction documents based on client requirements.
- Perform quality control on projects for final review by Engineer of Record.
- Engage in client communication when applicable.
- Assist in establishing project budgets and ensure financial success.
- Edit specifications for small to medium projects.
