Position Summary:

Electrical Engineer 1 designs electronic components and sub-assemblies under the guidance and supervision of another engineer. This position reports to the Manager, Electronics Research and Engineering or Manager, RF Products.

Requirements

• Prior familiarity, or interest in developing design ability, over a broad range of Electrical Engineering topics, such as:
• Mixed Signal Design (ADC/DAC) / Measurement Systems
• Microcontroller / Digital design
• Analog design
• Closed loop temperature control systems
• AC design (single phase and three phase)
• High voltage design (1kV and above, typically low power)
• Motor Control
• HMI (human machine interface) design
• System design
• PWB/PCB (printed wire board/printed circuit board) and PWA (printed wiring assembly) design.
• Wire harness design
• Displays appropriate personality traits and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in the detail & design of electrical components & electrical sub-assemblies
• Research, test & assemble electrical components & electrical sub-assemblies
• Troubleshoot Production problems
• Assist in the documentation of components & sub-assemblies
• Maintain documentation and/or logbook.
