About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles.
  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or project experience in electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.
  • Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
  • In some applications, support development of circuit card assemblies.
  • Learn implementation of electrical wiring design practices.
  • Support the testing and validation of electrical/electronic systems and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met.
  • Document technical designs, test procedures, and results.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of electrical/electronic circuits and systems.
