Available Shift: 1st shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday Full-Time Summer 2026 Internship Competitive Weekly Pay Period. Join Our Team as an Electrical Engineer (Facilities) Intern! The Electrical Engineering Intern will assist the Manager - Facilities Engineering and other project engineers with facilities related tasks associated with engineering projects. Facilities projects are related to building design and construction, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, building remodeling projects, facilities equipment replacements and upgrades, plant rearrangement, machinery installations and moves, and modifications to existing process systems including plating, finishing, polymers.

Requirements

  • Must be in good standing as a student at the Bachelor's or Master's degree level at an accredited university majoring in Electrical Engineering and returning to school full-time at the end of the internship.
  • Excellent communication skills and basic math/bookkeeping skills.
  • Familiarity with Microstation, AutoCad and/or other CAD software.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tasks/calculations.
  • Write basic functional descriptions of different electrical systems.
  • Field verification of existing conditions.
  • Research to find equipment to meet specified requirements based on the calculations performed.
  • Prepare CAD layouts and drawings on Microstation or Autocad.
  • Work with contractors to get projects implemented/installed.
  • Prepare engineering documentation for various projects being performed by engineers.
