About The Position

Lexicon offers a unique combination of capabilities. Our services include construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction and management services. We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with EPC experience in the metals and minerals industry to support electrical system design, layout, and commissioning of large-scale industrial facilities. The role requires collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient electrical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 7+ years' experience in electrical engineering, including EPC projects in metals/mining/heavy industry.
  • Proficiency in ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or equivalent software.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical codes and industrial safety standards.
  • Experience with 3-phase power distribution, substations, motors, and instrumentation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power distribution, lighting, fire detection, and backup systems for industrial facilities.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, cable schedules, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation and compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, OSHA, and local codes.
  • Recommend and implement energy-efficient and sustainable electrical designs.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to integrate electrical systems into overall plant design.
