This position provides an opportunity to further advance cutting-edge technologies that support some of our nations core defense/intelligence services and systems. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The Electrical Engineer will be part of an innovative team that loves to evaluate RF systems, such as RADARs, jammers, or communications systems, including their software and signals, for capabilities, performance, and vulnerabilities. This individual is expected to work effectively in multi-disciplined engineering teams where communication and innovation are key. 2024 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award Winner

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Department of Defense Top Secret is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Understanding of RF physical layer implementations
  • Understanding of networking concepts
  • Experience with RF test equipment, such as RF signal generators and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience in communication protocol implementation and analysis in one or more of C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Wireshark
  • Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in relevant field of study
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing
  • Understanding of cyber security concepts
  • Ability to contribute to rapid prototyping of proof-of-concept capabilities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation, and organizational skill
  • Proven technical leadership skills ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions
