About The Position

Saxon is hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer - Controls to join our client's growing engineering team in King County, Washington. This direct hire role offers the chance to design and deliver advanced industrial and municipal automation systems that power critical operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with control system design, PLC programming, and power distribution, and thrives in a collaborative, project-driven environment.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in control and automation engineering.
Strong working knowledge of:
Automated control systems
AC and DC motors
PLC and computer programming
Electrical power distribution
Digital and analog circuits
Technical writing and documentation
Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software for electrical design.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, program, and document electrical and control systems using PCs and PLCs for industrial and municipal applications.
Develop control solutions for machine, process, and electrical distribution systems.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
Prepare Operator and Maintenance Manuals for completed equipment and systems.
Create engineering drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tools.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to electrical technicians during equipment fabrication and assembly.
Conduct on-site system start-up testing and commissioning at customer facilities.
