About The Position

You’ll design the compute and sensor hardware at the core of our robotics platform. This includes Nvidia Jetson-class carrier boards, high-bandwidth multi-camera systems, and the electrical architecture that connects compute, vision, and the rest of the robot.

Requirements

  • Experience designing compute carrier boards (preferably for NVIDIA Jetson) with full power, interface, and system-level considerations.
  • Strong understanding of camera interface architectures, including GMSL2 and MIPI CSI, and hands-on experience with multi-camera systems using serdes.
  • Experience designing flex and rigid-flex PCBs, especially for compact or articulated assemblies requiring high reliability.
  • Familiarity with system-level I/O including PCIE, CAN, USB, I2C, I2S, SPI, Ethernet, and their integration into robotic control/sensing pipelines.
  • Ability to manage high-bandwidth camera subsystems, including synchronization, link configuration, frame sync, and data routing.
  • Experience validating compute and camera boards through bring-up, electrical testing, and debugging.
  • Understanding of mechanical, thermal, and EMI/EMC constraints in tightly integrated compute-sensor modules.
  • Track record of taking embedded hardware from concept to production, including vendor collaboration and manufacturing handoff.

Responsibilities

  • Design carrier boards for embedded compute modules and integrate them into the full robotic system.
  • Build multi-camera architectures optimized for bandwidth, synchronization, and reliability.
  • Develop flex/rigid-flex PCBs for compact or moving assemblies.
  • Own bring-up and validation of compute and camera subsystems.
  • Collaborate with perception, firmware, and mechanical teams to ensure robust system-level integration.
  • Move quickly and independently from prototype through production-ready designs.
