About The Position

A co-op in this position will work closely with engineers supporting the development of aircraft mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems integration and test, communication, networking & computing or requirements decomposition and traceability for Cargo systems. You will get to work with a variety of engineers from across the world to bring to life a cargo system. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run January - August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity). This role is onsite, in Jamestown, ND. This role may be eligible for relocation.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Engineering co-op or internship experience.
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with electrical hardware and/or lab experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete electrical drawing design changes as required to facilitate manufacturing needs.
  • Perform direct and root cause failure analysis on circuit card assemblies.
  • Resolve day-to-day technical problems on the electronics and electro-mechanical production lines to minimize disruption.
  • Generate technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Confer with engineers, customers, vendors and other stakeholders on existing and potential engineering projects or products.
  • Research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
  • Provide written and verbal status of design change progress to the Engineering team members.
  • Ensure products are designed according to specifications using the most cost effective and efficient means.
  • Work cross functionally with Customer Teams, HW & SW Designers, Test Engineers & Technicians, Supply Chain, Production & Quality, Field Service Engineers, FAA and Airline Customers and OEMs.
