Your role and responsibilities include gaining hands-on experience through various projects, acquiring knowledge by performing tasks as directed, and supporting ABB's operations while enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite and contributes to the Process Automation Business.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering in the United States
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress

Responsibilities

• Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors
• Support overall system design and testing activities
• Support the development of detailed engineering documentation including: Single Line Diagrams, Power System Studies (Arc Flash, Load Flow, Short Circuit, etc.), Network Diagrams, Protective Device Settings, and Substation Layouts
• Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations
• Conduct analyses and provide related data and information
• Motivated to troubleshoot and research solutions during the duration while working on projects
• Attend training sessions both in person and on the job
