  • Solid understanding of AC/DC power distribution systems.
  • System level understanding of electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.
  • Knowledgeable in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice).
  • Strong understanding of sensor systems and available technologies.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes used to build assemblies and designs.
  • Strong communicator: oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Experience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques like 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.
  • Has excellent system level understanding of electrical architecture, design of IO controllers and applications.
  • Proficient in power panel electrical circuit design with safety interlocks & 3 phase load analysis.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical related standards like UL, CE, IEC, SEMI, NFPA-79.
  • Able to effectively communicate complex subject matter to non-subject matter experts.
  • Proficient at troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, DVM, and tool logs.
  • Driven individual that will model Lam Core Values.
  • Experience in product development and release.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in power distribution and/or control system design of industrial manufacturing tools.
  • Previous experience in the design of Semiconductor Manufacturing tools.
  • Experienced in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and low voltage circuit design for power and control applications.
  • Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to create and implement test fixtures to verify and validate designs.
  • Mechanically inclined. Comfortable using hand-tools and constructing items beyond the scope of electrical engineering in projects.
  • Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Practical experience with sensors, actuators, field busses (e.g. Ethernet, Serial, EtherCAT), measurement and controls technology.
  • FW or Application code development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a project owner with a high level of autonomy and lead multidisciplinary projects.
  • Review complex problem statements and generate solutions. Identify and lead the effort of selecting the best solution.
