About The Position

Amentum is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Englewood, CO office responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Engineer is responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in power system analysis.
• Proficient in SKM, ETAP or other Power System Analysis software.
• Advanced understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD.
• Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.
• Must be a US Citizen; US Dual Citizenship may be considered.
• Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Position may require travel.

Nice To Haves

• EIT or PE (Professional Engineer License) in Electrical Engineering.
• DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience.
• Experience in 3D design using BIM, Revit, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD MEP.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop engineering calculations, studies, and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria.
• Conduct power system analysis including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash, and relay coordination studies.
• Create and interpret electrical one line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Size and specify electrical equipment.
