About The Position

Join our fast-paced and passionate team as an Electrical Engineer 4. As we scale, you will be instrumental in building our foundation from the ground up. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a fluid startup environment. You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies, work closely with leadership, and develop and implement engineering practices that support our mission and growth. Your key responsibilities are as follows: Work independently and in a team while over communicating with the manager, project engineer and the teammates. Will mentor junior engineers. Execute complex engineering tasks involving planning, preparation, data/information collection and analysis and decision-making in a process involving peer reviews and documentation of the results. Use tenacity, patience, self-discipline and passion for excellence to assure accuracy of execution schedule, data quality/integrity, conformance to company best practices, clarity in communication and documentation. Use every opportunity to grow competency thru mentorship, curiosity, communication, exposure and initiative. Responsible for working independently and with a group of engineers on electrical designs. Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems. Documentation of design architecture and formal design synthesis. Modeling and simulation of performance of electrical circuits. Electrical schematic capture and BOM maintenance PCB layout and production of PCB cam files. Interaction with PCB vendors to verify quality builds. Testing and diagnosis of designs and verification of design goals. Lead failure root cause analysis and develop corrective actions. Prepare test plans to support test implementation and reporting. May be required to lead and mentor other engineers and technicians. This position requires access to export-controlled information. Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, ECE, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally within a startup or technology company.
  • Experience designing RF circuits in the 200MHz to 20GHz range.
  • Experience with low noise circuit design.
  • Experience designing RF PCBs including best design practices for low loss, low crosstalk, and high signal integrity.
  • Solid understanding of analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit designs.
  • Ability to design electrical schematics including development of circuit architecture and component selection to meet requirements for the system.
  • Ability to use simulation tools such as SPICE for analyzing circuit performance.
  • Knowledge of components available from key vendors which could be utilized to implement circuit designs.
  • Knowledge of RF Design concepts and best practices.
  • Knowledge of RF PCB Layout requirements and best practices.
  • You're creative, flexible, and eager to wear multiple hats.
  • You're passionate about building systems from the ground up and comfortable with ambiguity and change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Altium Designer a plus.
