About The Position

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Electrical Drawing Checker to support our engineering team. This role will be responsible for reviewing electrical schematics and drawing packages against established company standards and checklists to ensure accuracy, consistency, and manufacturability prior to release. You will play a critical role in design and drawing quality control by verifying Bills of Materials (BOMs) match the schematic, ensuring shared/common components are labeled consistently, and confirming correct labels are applied across all units. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and ERP team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting, drawing review, manufacturing documentation, or related technical role.
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, or a related field
  • Proficiency in electrical design/documentation tools (AutoCAD Electrical/SOLIDWORKS Electrical).
  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS PDM Vault Management.
  • Proficiency in MSOffice.
  • Experience managing and validating Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Experience with drawing package release processes and revision control.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, device tagging, and documentation standards.
  • Working knowledge of Epicor and part/revision control processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at time.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Review electrical schematics and drawing packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Maverick drafting and documentation standards as well as internal checklist.
  • Verify that the Bill of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date on most active revision.
  • Validate that unit labels, identifiers, and documentation references are correct and consistent across the full project package.
  • Redline drawings clearly and accurately to communicate required corrections or improvements to engineers and designers.
  • Ensure part numbers, descriptions, and revisions are correctly entered and maintained within the ERP system.
  • Validate that drawing packages are complete before release to manufacturing.
  • Support continuous improvement of drawing standards and checking procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.
