Job Description Job Description Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Electronics engineering team is rapidly growing to support the development of electronic devices used in Aerospace, Defense, and Space applications. EBAD seeks a motivated engineer for the position of Electronics Development Engineer, reporting to the Electrical Product Development Lead. Responsibilities: This is an opportunity for an engineer to develop electrical/electronic design concepts and implement those concepts into finished working designs derived from specification requirements, design concepts, and inputs from customers and other engineers involving multidisciplinary activities.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a development environment.
  • Analog, Digital, or Mixed Signal circuit experience
  • Power Electronics experience
  • Capable of performing analysis and establish circuit level tests to establish validity of designs including thermal effects and contributions of tolerance.
  • Knowledge of printed circuits, part selection, cabling, and test methods.
  • Understanding of lifecycle development and integration of VHDL into different families of FPGAs using schematic capture.
  • Experience in requirements definition, design concepting, code and simulation, verification/validation, and system integration.
  • Prepare and present internal and external design review materials (PDR and CDR activities) to demonstrate the design meets all specifications and customer requirements.
  • Analyze electrical devices and assemblies for reliability and maintainability (R&M) design aspects. Provide feedback to the development team related to tradeoffs and issues regarding R&M.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposal documents and understand customer requirements and expectations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with “hands-on” testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Proficiency with use of basic diagnostics tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and debugging tools.
  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Altium Designer knowledge
  • Circuit simulation software
  • Circuit board design & layout experience
  • Problem Solving/Root Cause Analysis
  • Embedded Systems (PIC, MPLAB)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL or Verilog
