General Summary: With general supervision from the Manager of Electrical Engineering or senior staff, electrical analysis, design and drafting skills to develop engineering design documents for lighting, power, and associated control systems for new construction and/or renovation of industrial ormercial structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-6 years related and progressively more responsible experience in electrical engineering field.
  • Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and MSWord
  • Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Bluebeam
  • BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)

Responsibilities

  • Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design or analyze electrical systems for the installation, interconnection, and control of electrical and mechanicalponents using applicable codes.
  • Create engineering documents usingputer aided design (CAD) technology utilizing Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD. Provide CAD support to more senior staff.
  • Possess/demonstrate the graphic ability to produce construction documents perpany standards.
  • Communicate and work with all other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents.
  • Conduct field measuring and checking at the project site.
  • Maintainanized project file containing project calculations, schedules, correspondence, appropriate reference materials, etc.
  • With assistance, edit project specifications.
  • Review project submittals (shop drawings) for conformance with contract documents; specify action required for conformance.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
