About The Position

The position involves leading and supporting the preparation of electrical design deliverables, including 3D models, 2D drawings, material specifications, and installation details in compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. The role requires modeling electrical rooms, equipment, raceways, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems using SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, AutoCAD, and related tools. Responsibilities also include creating bills of materials, performing electrical design calculations (e.g., lighting layouts with AGI 32, ground grid layouts with ETAP), and preparing procurement documentation using SpecsIntact. The candidate will coordinate design activities and resolve interface issues with other engineering disciplines, systems engineering, and clients to ensure design accuracy and constructability. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and checking design deliverables for quality, accuracy, and completeness, participating in constructability reviews and jobsite visits as required, and mentoring less experienced designers by providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to Bechtel and industry design practices.
