The Electrical Designer will develop and prepare electrical drawings.
Requirements
Enrolled in a technical degree program with goal of completing the program with degree.
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

Nice To Haves
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and other Building Codes is preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop and prepare detailed electrical engineering and construction installation drawings.
Work closely with an engineer to develop designs, picking up redlines for complete drawings.
Develop detailed electrical designs in lighting, low voltage systems instrumentation, and controls for a variety of industries. Perform lighting calculations using Visual or ElumTools in Revit.
Electrical design deliverables include electrical one lines, power and lighting plans, electrical site plans, area classification plans, & grounding plans.
Develop Revit and AutoCAD 3D & 2D models. Learn how to use and apply Revit knowledge in a project oriented atmosphere.
Become familiar with the National Electrical Code and other applicable building codes to design projects.
Participate in team meetings, learn how project-based work is accomplished in an A&E firm.
Participate in activities for the Vestal interns through the Vestal intern program
Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
