About The Position

Entry-level engineers perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, practices, and programs. May also receive formal classroom or seminar-type training. The Electrical Engineer 1 reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Comfortable diagnosing electrical problems with hands-on troubleshooting and on live circuits
• Can give clear explanations of electrical principles and the basis for solutions.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with the use of electronic test equipment, UL 508 and 508A, as well as National Electric Code
• HTML and/or SQL database programming
• Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Familiarity with E-Plan Electric P8 software preferred.
• Familiarity with E-Plan Pro Panel software preferred.
• Familiarity with Siemens S7-1200 family PLCs and TIA portal programming preferred
• Basic knowledge of compressors and pneumatics preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, practices, and programs.
• Development, prototyping and maintenance of wiring harnesses, electrical controls assemblies and controls testing panels in an office and production shop environment using tools of the trade.
• Development and maintenance of wiring schematics and bills of material using CAD software and ERP system.
