The Electrical Engineer will research and design components and electrical/electronic systems for Ditch Witch or Subsite branded products. Primary duties include design and selection of components related to electronic or electromechanical equipment. The employee will use ECAD software to create electronic schematics; direct the work of drafter/illustrators, and technicians; works closely with various component suppliers; and performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Engineer I-0-2 years experience in electrical engineering, testing environment
  • Engineer II-2-4 years of experience in electrical engineering, testing environment.
  • Programming, any language.
  • Software: Linux, Python, C/C++
  • Great communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities.
  • Results-driven and action-oriented; positive and energetic.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze technical information from a variety of sources, including: Conversations with engineers, product managers, suppliers, etc. Technical documents, Operation of equipment, and Your own tests & experiments.
  • Maintain design concepts for circuits and systems, involving analog and digital design techniques and interface sensors with microcontrollers.
  • Design, implement, and test electrical circuits to demonstrate compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare technical design and production documentation.
  • Define measurement techniques, tuning procedures, and special test fixtures for production use.
  • Develop Desktop (Windows and Linux) applications.
  • Design for embedded Linux systems.
  • Design for bare-metal embedded systems.
  • Serves as an expert within the department for a design-related field and provides consulting to others on technical matters.
  • Coordinates product sustaining activities with other personnel, including the flow of information and documentation to other departments.
  • Evaluates feasibility and applicability of newer technologies and methods to existing products and designs.
  • Meets or exceed typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality, and safety.

It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $68200- $98000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
