About The Position

Electrical Design Engineer (Associate or Experienced) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Government Training Engineering (GTE) Hardware Design Engineering team in Hazelwood, MO, is seeking an Associate or Experienced Electrical Design Engineer (Level 2 or 3). In this role you will design, develop, manufacture, and maintain support equipment for a range of military rotorcraft systems. You will also act as the project lead for each device—preparing proposals, managing hardware build and checkout, coordinating with Program Management and Production, and delivering status updates to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the design and analysis of basic electronic/electrical systems

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience following the Master’s degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and analysis of basic electronic/electrical systems
  • Project Management experience
  • Proposal development
  • Agile experience

Responsibilities

  • Define and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Create hardware, software, and interface specifications.
  • Perform testing and validation to confirm designs meet operational and functional needs.
  • Support supplier oversight to ensure integration and compliance with system requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues for deployed hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Investigate emerging technologies for potential business applications.
  • Prepare proposals for each design project.
  • Scrum Master
