About The Position

A global aviation engineering specialist is seeking a technically strong Electrical / Design Engineer to join their Aviation team, supporting complex aircraft upgrade and modification projects. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and exposure to high-end, regulated aerospace programmes. Job & Company Description: An aerospace organisation, is recruiting an Electrical / Design Engineer with a focus on Aircraft Interior Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integration of electrical and avionic systems and the detailed design of aircraft wiring solutions for modification and upgrade projects. The role is project-driven, with variable working hours depending on programme requirements, and work can be performed remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Completed Safety Management System (SMS) training related to aviation activities (design, production, or maintenance)
  • Proven experience in electrical and avionic systems integration
  • Ability to autonomously design aircraft wiring systems and harnesses (e.g. AWD)
  • Extensive knowledge of airworthiness requirements: CS23, CS25, CS27
  • Strong understanding of EASA Part 21 requirements
  • Prior experience preparing technical documentation and engineering reports
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

  • Design and define aircraft wiring systems and harnesses, including connectors, circuit breakers, and standard components
  • Produce complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support aircraft integration
  • Perform Electrical Load Analysis (ELA) and prepare associated reports
  • Conduct EWIS and EZAP analyses and assessments
  • Source, evaluate, and analyse electrical components to meet design requirements
  • Identify technical root causes and propose corrective actions for engineering issues
  • Estimate engineering effort and evaluate alternative technical solutions
  • Participate in design reviews, offering technical input and process improvement suggestions
