About the position
The Electrical Design Engineer role is a pivotal position within a dynamic organization that values collaboration and a people-first environment. This position focuses on developing new products and enhancing existing designs, working closely with various departments to achieve common objectives. The role emphasizes teamwork and communication, with frequent meetings to align on project priorities and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and redesign schematics and PCB designs for DC control systems and test fixtures.
- Create detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for new designs.
- Design filter inductors and power transformers.
- Test designs to ensure compliance with internal and third-party environmental, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to resolve production and documentation issues.
- Participate in team discussions to refine system designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally filling the gap between entry-level and senior roles.
- Expertise in power electronics, analog, digital, and embedded microcontroller application design.
- Experience with magnetics design (transformers and chokes) and SCR control/driver circuit design.
