About The Position

We are seeking an independent Design Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in the production design of instrument transformers and encompasses test-related activities. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to solve complex problems, develop and execute strategic objectives, and influence both short-term and long-term business goals within a manufacturing environment. Responsible for the design of 0.6kV through 69 kV class current and voltage instrument transformers, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards. Execute most design assignments autonomously, managing projects from initial quoting through to production hand-off. This includes the creation of detailed drawings, bills of material, and comprehensive production instructions. Ensure all designs comply with IEEE, IEC, and other relevant industry standards, maintaining the integrity and reliability of our products. Develop and implement final test procedures, producing thorough verification reports to validate product performance. Provide essential support to production and testing teams, ensuring seamless integration of design into manufacturing processes. Drive initiatives to achieve expected results in terms of quality, execution time, and cost efficiency. Interface effectively with Product Management, Production, Sourcing, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to align design objectives with overall business goals. Uphold company safety and quality expectations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Electrical Design.
