Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline, or other related Field
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience designing electronic circuits using ECAD based programs
  • PCB/Layout experience
  • Simulation experience using a Spice based tool
  • Experience working with Software and Mechanical Engineers

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of professional, relevant experience
  • Experience designing for commercial space, or traditional space with commercial product experience
  • Experience with Diptrace, Altium or Kicad

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, build and test of space-based electronics for multiple projects
  • Electronic circuit design with layout using ECAD software
  • Design VAC and VDC analog circuits, up to 250V. Designs may include sensors and components connected by ADC and DAC circuitry.
  • Design digital circuits with microcontrollers and high-speed communication. This may include protocols such as I2C, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, USB and Ethernet.
  • Design electromechanical systems that may include step motors, DC motors, miniature solenoids, miniature pumps, feedback sensors and switches. Knowledge of control system principles and feedback loops.
  • Design electronics for high-reliability and EMI sensitive environments. Knowledge of EMI/EMC/ESD standards and testing.
  • Proving out a design using simulation and mathematics
  • Interacting technically with customers and product/project management
  • Compile information and documentation for design reviews, verifications, and presentations
  • Conduct applicable reviews, meetings, and technical presentations
