About The Position

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer II to lead the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components, equipment, and systems. The role involves providing analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware/firmware requirements at the HW Component (HWCI) level. The engineer will develop top-level and detailed designs for more complex HWCI based on hardware requirements, define and document interfaces between HWCI’s, generate unit test cases, and provide detailed information to support resource utilization measurements and component selection. The engineer will also present designs at PDR and CDR, participate in peer reviews, follow current EE development processes, and foster process improvement. The position requires the use of computer-assisted engineering and design tools to perform engineering tasks and prepare status reports as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must have a background that permits the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components, equipment, and systems.
  • Provide analysis related to the design, development, and implementation.
  • Develop hardware/firmware requirements at the HW Component (HWCI) level.
  • Develop top-level and detailed designs for more complex HWCI based on hardware requirements.
  • Define/document interfaces between HWCI’s.
  • Generate unit test cases, including definition of required data inputs, outputs, and expected testing results.
  • Provide detailed information to support resource utilization measurements.
  • Provide detailed information to support component selection and design partitioning.
  • Present design at PDR and CDR.
  • Participate in others’ peer reviews of hardware/firmware design and code.
  • Follow current EE development processes.
  • Foster process improvement.
  • Perform tasks according to budget and schedule.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design hardware/firmware and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Prepare status reports as required.
