Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.
  • Familiarity with common electronic blocks such as power supply regulators, isolators, op-amps, ADCs/DACs.
  • Experience with OrCAD PCB, Altium, PADS, or Eagle; ADS, Hyperlynx simulation experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work on cross-disciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AC power distribution.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers, cable and fiber optic design, ladder logic, or soldering.

Responsibilities

  • Produce PCB designs, schematics, and work closely with layout engineers to fabricate printed circuit boards.
  • Characterize and test full PCB systems in collaboration with FPGA and firmware engineers.
  • Produce electrical system designs and work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure requirements are met and systems are easily serviceable.
  • Design power distribution, interconnection diagrams, safety interlocks, and supporting hardware.
