We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Central Engineering team in Milpitas! The role involves partnering with the SW and Mechanical teams for stage sub-system design, writing technical documentation that meets defined quality standards for manufacturing and service, and supporting a smooth product transition into manufacturing and the field for high precision motion systems used in KLA inspection machines. The position requires advanced motion control of multi-axis motion systems and optomechanical systems, as well as digital signal processor real-time architecture design of general motion control systems. The engineer will also be responsible for servo loop design and tuning for nanometer motion systems, writing SW and Python or MATLAB scripts to accelerate the tuning process, and following rigorous firmware design control methodology with requirements specifications, architecture specifications, design descriptions, verification plans, and test cases. Additionally, the engineer will drive the development, testing, and integration of complex electrical components and subsystems with minimal supervision.
