ELECTRICAL DESIGN CHECKER (PART TIME)

Position Title: Part Time Design Checker-Electrical Location: Houston, TX Gulf Companies has served the global energy industry since 1953 by supporting the complete project lifecycle and developing valued business partnerships to ensure the success of the project. Position Description Perform senior level detail checking of electrical instrumentation design including complex designs and layouts of One line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software.
Requirements
- Ability to work with Autocad and Navisworks
- 30 or more years of experience in a drafting environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree or certification from technical trade school preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review vendor drawings and information.
- Perform detail check of discipline drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Read and comprehend PID’s.
