Projected Start Date: 2/16/2026 Duration: 1 YEAR with the option to extend for 2 additional 1 year option years One (2) Position Available US Citizenship Required DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES : Apply technical experience in field of specialization or broad-based experience in multiple technical fields and use other technical resources within the company to resolve complex problems. Incorporate advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning. Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area(s) of technical expertise. Develop solutions to complex technical problems in fields of expertise. Keep informed on technical needs within the company and technical trends in area of expertise in the external world. Be aware of capabilities of the work group and needs of its customers. Identify technical programs which can be carried out with little guidance and take the initiative to accomplish them. Lead task teams for developing solutions to more complex problems. Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving major technical tasks identifed by management. Develop schedules, monitor progress, monitor expenditures of budget and review quality of work performed. Include research, development, testing, quality assurance requirements. Communicate the results and objectives verbally and in manuscript form to customers, colleagues, managers and oversight groups. Prepare reports for external publication. WORK HOURS : A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE : Education: An advanced degree and experience, a Ph.D. degree and about 10 years' experience. OR AMS degree and 12 years' experience. OR A BS degree and approximately 15 years' experience. Experience: 15-20 years of design authority experience in the nuclear industry. Working knowledge of NEC, IES, NFPA, IEEE, ETAP, and OSHA requirements. Experience using software (preferably ETAP) to generate electrical system calculations. OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Area Security Access: Clearance Q required. Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE / NNSA PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : SRS Electrical Design Authority Engineering experience. Experience designing Lithium-Ion Battery System as redundant power. Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
