About The Position

Electrical Design Authority Engineer Closes: 01/14/26 Openings: 2 Location: 100% onsite – SRS, Aiken, SC Estimated Rate: ~$105/hr W2 with full benefits package Role Overview Senior-level Electrical Design Authority support for Tritium Projects and Facilities. This is a true Design Authority role, not a junior engineer, not a paper-only position. Expect deep technical ownership, field walkdowns, and direct impact on nuclear facility electrical systems.

Requirements

PhD + ~10 years experience
MS + ~12 years experience
BS + ~15 years experience
15–20 years of nuclear electrical Design Authority experience
Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IES, and OSHA
Hands-on experience performing electrical calculations (ETAP preferred)
Ability to perform field walkdowns in operating nuclear facilities
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Active clearance not required to start
Prior DOE L or Q within the past two years preferred

Nice To Haves

Prior SRS Electrical Design Authority experience
Lithium-ion battery system design for redundant power

Responsibilities

Electrical Design Authority support across Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Startup, and Construction
Engineering analysis, field walkdowns, and design reviews
Development of electrical design documents, including: System Design Descriptions Single Line Drawings Electrical Equipment Lists and Specifications
Control system design, schematics, and connection diagrams
Circuit, raceway, wiring, and grounding design
Fire detection, heat tracing
Electrical calculations using tools like ETAP: Short circuit Arc flash Load flow Electrical system sizing
Oversight and coordination with multidisciplinary teams and vendors
Occasional vendor support and FAT witnessing (limited travel)
