Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our Cabin & Network Systems team in Seattle, WA. The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E), Cabin & Network Systems team is part of the Aeronautical Systems Integration and Test (ASIT) organization. Our organization is responsible for designing and building test systems that support systems integration and validation testing of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Military Derivatives. We design and build test assets to support systems testing for Avionic Systems, Propulsion Systems, Flight Controls, Cabin Systems, Network Systems, Network Security, Large Scale Power, Hydraulic Systems etc. The Cabin & Network Systems team is focused on designing and building test systems to support testing for Cabin Services Systems, In-Flight Entertainment, Emergency Lighting Systems, Passenger Connectivity, Onboard Network Systems, and Network Security. BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior level Electrical Design & Analysis Engineers.

  • Research the design requirements and data for the test systems using aircraft LRU drawings, system schematics, and interface control documents
  • Conduct research on component part selections and Boeing standard parts required for test system design
  • Develop high-level and detail electrical engineering designs consistent with test system requirements
  • Create detailed wiring diagrams, cable harness assembly drawings, and electro-mechanical assembly drawings
  • Develop electrical engineering designs in CATIA
  • Complete the packaging of engineering drawings and collaborate with the drafting group to release them
  • Coordinate all activities required for the purchasing of lab build parts and end-item fabrication
  • Support electrical shop personnel during the build and installation process
  • Complete engineering checkout of all build completed test systems
  • Support ongoing test activities and required modifications to the test systems
  • Support the lifecycle management of our test systems
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, 2D drawings and drawing packages
  • Experience using SCDs, ICDs, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, or Boeing design documents
  • Level 4: 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering
  • Familiarity with Boeing standard parts
  • Experience with Boeing Drafting Standards
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Test system design experience
  • Mechanical engineering design and packaging experience
  • Mechanical engineering design skills would be beneficial, but not required
