About The Position

The Electrical Controls Technician position at Volt involves supporting electrical and controls engineering initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on controls programming, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and assisting with automation system installations and start-ups. The technician will manage technical automation software and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree or Technical school graduate (or equivalent experience) with electrical and control system experience.
• Proven record of working safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer and networking skills.
• Experience with PLC, HMI & VFD Programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and power distribution systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical skills (mechanical/electrical).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Willingness to travel to OEM vendor sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Rockwell and Schneider automation products.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation programming software.
• Ability to create and modify electrical schematics.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
