Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrical and controls professional in an industrial maintenance setting
  • Strong working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control networks
  • Demonstrated experience with Allen-Bradley control platforms and drives
  • Ability to work with multiple types and generations of controllers and equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and provide off-hours support when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing, food production, bakery, or packaging environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in a high-speed bakery and packaging environment
  • Program, modify, load, communicate, and troubleshoot PLC and controller software across multiple generations and platforms
  • Configure, program, and maintain HMIs and VFDs, including Allen-Bradley drives
  • Support instrumentation and controls systems, including I/O, sensors, and field devices
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to diagnose equipment issues and implement effective corrective actions
  • Design, implement, and document control system improvements and equipment modifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts with a focus on safety, reliability, efficiency, and uptime
  • Provide flexible support for off-hour troubleshooting or emergency calls as required
  • Assist with commissioning, testing, and startup of new or modified equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation, backups, and version control of programs and system changes
