Electrical Controls Engineer

Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer for a permanent position in Alliance, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining specifications, selecting electrical controls and components, designing control loops, and programming and testing PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces). This role requires a strong understanding of machine control systems, including the design, configuration, and setup of these systems, rather than just basic maintenance. The Electrical Controls Engineer will work closely with customers to ensure that their specifications are met and will be involved in the entire process from design to implementation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET), although applicable experience may substitute for formal education. A minimum of three years of experience in designing, programming, and troubleshooting machine control systems is required. The role also involves project management, control systems engineering, and software development for both AC and DC drives. Familiarity with 2D AutoCAD Electrical is preferred, as is a strong understanding of PLCs from Siemens and Rockwell, as well as HMI systems. Knowledge of variable speed motor controls is also essential. This position requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers and team members. The Electrical Controls Engineer will be expected to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and a 10-panel drug screen.
